Role:
The IIGB Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) was established in 2007 to provide advice and scientific expertise to the IIGB Director. The SAB will be informed of the progress of IIGB's research and pilot projects and be asked to provide feedback and ideas intended to critically and constructively evaluate and accelerate achievements as they relate to IIGB objectives. The board will consist of 4-5 members whose membership will be initiated and/or renewed every year based on areas of the Institute selected for review.
The focus for the 2007-08 year is a review of the IIGB Core Facilities, and the members above were selected based on their expertise in bioinformatics, microscopy, proteomics, and genomics technologies.
The first IIGB Scientific Advisory Board Meeting was held November 2, 2007 to evaluate the Noel T. Keen Hall Core Instrumentation Facilities
