Microscopy
Location and Floorplan
The Microscopy Core facility is located in seven custom designed rooms (#1002-1006, 1015-1016) occupying approximately 1400 sq. ft. on the first floor of Noel T. Keen Hall. With the acquisition of additional equipment according to researcher needs, many rooms now house more than one piece of equipment; for example, the Zeiss 510 confocal now shares a lab with the Yokogawa scanner, with a light curtain to maintain two separately lighted work zones. When the Bioinformatics Core moves to the new Genomics Building in 2009, the vacated 900 sq. ft. space will be added to the microscopy facility providing a permanent lecture room, a storage room and one additional instrument lab.
Provided below are a campus map indicating the location of Noel T. Keen Hall and floorplans (pdfs) of the first and second floors. All microscopy equipment is located on the first floor, as detailed on the floorplan.
