Research Summary:
My research interest is focused on the application of biological mass spectrometry approaches to study cellular proteomes of both animals and plants. In collaboration with both UCR and non-UCR faculty members, my research works have covered organelle proteome profiling, mapping of protein post-translational modifications (phosphorylation, acetylation, ubiquitination, and disulfide bridge), and study of protein complexes. I have developed a label-free quantitative method that can be used to determine specificity and strength of protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions and to analyze differential protein expression in stressed and mutant plants.
